Clatter privacy policy

Clatter keeps your games on your device. It shows ads from Google AdMob, and that is the only part that collects data.

Who we are

Clatter is made by Abhilash Mishra, the developer of Calsee. In this policy “we” means the developer. Contact: privacy@calsee.tech.

Your games stay on your device

Player names, scores, dice history, coin counts, the tally, timer settings, your themes, and whether you bought Remove ads are saved only on your device, in the app’s private storage. They are never sent to us or anyone else. We have no server and no accounts, and Clatter has no analytics or crash reporting of its own.

Ads

Clatter shows a banner at the bottom of the screen and a full-screen ad every few theme changes. The ads come from Google AdMob, through Google’s software inside the app. To choose, show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google collects:

DataWhat it is
Device identifiersOn Android, the advertising ID. On iPhone and iPad, the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking; otherwise identifiers limited to this app or developer.
Approximate locationEstimated from your IP address. Clatter never asks for your precise location.
Ad interactionsWhich ads were shown, and taps on them.
DiagnosticsCrash and performance data from the ads software.

Google handles this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. We don’t receive it in a form that identifies you.

Your choices

UK, Switzerland and the European Economic Area

Before any ad loads, Clatter asks for your consent with Google’s consent form. You can consent, decline, or pick options. To change your answer later, open Remove ads on the home screen and choose Privacy choices.

iPhone and iPad

Clatter asks whether it may track you, using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the advertising identifier is not shared and you still see ads, just less relevant ones. You can change this any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Android

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s settings (usually Settings › Privacy › Ads).

Remove ads

A one-time purchase turns off all ads, and Clatter then stops loading Google’s ads software.

Purchases

Remove ads is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle the payment; we never see your card or account details. Clatter only stores, on your device, that the purchase was made. Restore asks the store to confirm an earlier purchase.

Permissions

Clatter uses the internet only for ads and purchases. It asks for no access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location.

Children

Clatter is a general-audience app for groups playing games together, and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

We don’t hold personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data collected by Google for ads, use the choices above or My Ad Center. You can still write to us with any question.

This website

clatter.calsee.tech sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers. Like any web server, the hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse; we don’t use them to identify or track you.

Changes

If Clatter starts handling data differently, we’ll update this page before that version is released, and change the date above.
